directCorsica - Corsica holiday specialists

Corsica is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and with 600 miles of unspoilt and uncrowded coastline, and wild scenery soaring dramatically to nearly 9,000 feet at Monte Cinto, it seduces every visitor. For centuries, visitors have returned home with their own deep impressions of this unique and beautiful island, an island which draws people back to it again and again. When she first arrived on the island in 1948, Dorothy Carrington was famously told 'Get away from here before you're completely bewitched and enslaved ...' - an adage that still holds true today.

Despite its unique beauty, its Mediterranean climate, its cool green mountains, Corsica has avoided the ugly mass tourism which has blighted so many Mediterranean islands. Truly a mountain in the sea, as well as stunning palm fringed bays and intimate coves, the rugged scenery includes alpine peaks, snow-capped until late spring, deep gorges, rushing torrents, lofty pine forests, glacial mountain lakes, and high mountain pastures and valleys.

Here we have tried here to give you a taste of what Corsica has to offer. Our tour follows the island in an anticlockwise route from Bastia and Cap Corse - the island within and island, along the coast and through the mountains to the oriental plain. Along the way, we have added links for things to see and do, sports and activities so you can start to visualise your Corsican holiday.
