Most sports can be undertaken in any area of the island, although some such as skiing or rafting are dependent on the time of year i.e. winter and spring respectively when the weather ocnditions are right.

With all sports, it is always advisable to check the weather before setting out as even in the middle of August, storms can strand you on mountains, rivers can become torrential and changing winds can prove hazardous at sea.
